December 20, 2010 Nassau County Leagues
Hey Guys, Mailing going out in a week for Spring-Summer 2011. I am working for Nassau County now. The new web site is www.ncsports.fmgateway.com But here is a preview; Sunday morning will be $750. Twilight weeknight is 1400., and Under the lights is $1800. You do have to get your own insurance. (about $225) You are still saving about $500. from last year. Look for letter in mail next week. August 10, 2010 Nassau County Leagues
Hi Guys, Some information was missing from County forms. The ASA insurance from this summer is good to the end of 2010. You do not need to buy insurance for the Fall. Also, Umpires are paid cash by your team on the field. The County will use 1 umpire for all divisions except the weeknight A division.

Hi Guys, I case you have not heard, Nassau County has taken back all permits for County fields. The good news is, I have been hired to run the Mens Softball Program. Letters will go out soon from Nassau County. Northern State Parkway to Rt. 106 north. Stay to the right and take 106 all the way into Oyster Bay to Lexington Ave. (Hess Station on left) Make left onto Lexington Ave. and go to end. Then make left onto West Main Street. Then 2 blocks to Bayside Ave., right onto Bayside into park. (on Long Island Sound)

March 25, 2010 Warm Up Tournament

Registration for the 2010 Season begins after the information letter goes out on January 15th. New teams can be put on mailing list by emailing name and address to fdnym1@aol.com

November 30, 2009 Fall League Results
In Division 1, RC Dugans came in 1st for the season and came in 1st over the Outsiders in the Play Offs. In Division 2, Old School was 1st for the season and The Crush came in 1st for the Play Offs. In Division 3 the top 4 teams played for the Championship and the other 4 teams play for consultation champion. In the top 4, Venom took the season and the Play Offs Championship over Who-Ville. In Division 4, Evolution took 1st for the season and then the Silver Bullets and Purple Haze met in the Play Offs finals with the Silver Bullets coming out on top.

September 02, 2009 2009 League Results for Sundays
Sunday morning Blue; Silver Bullets came in first place in the division and then the 3rd place team for the season met the Silver Bullets in the finals. The Sewer Rats won in the play offs in 3 games. The Blue II; Bat Hits came in first for the season. Then met the Wantagh Inn Flyers in the play offs. The Wantagh Inn Flyers beat the Bat Hits in 3 close games to win the play offs. Yellow division; Unfinished Business came in first place for the division, but failed to make the finals. The 2nd place team, Old School and the 4th place team, Boozers met in the play off finals. On a very hot Sunday morning, the Old School team beat the Boozers in 3 close games.

September 02, 2009 2009 League Results for the Weeknights
Gray; The Hometown Boys came in first for the season, and then met the Silent Islanders in the play offs. The Hometown Boys won in 3 games. Purple; Capped Out came in first for the season, and met the second place team, Rookies Sports Bar in the play offs. Capped Out won in 3 games. Purple II; The Isotopes came in first for the season, and met the second place team, Pog Mahones in the play offs. Pog Mahones won in 2 game. Green; The Titans came in first for the season, but lost to the Shamrocks in the first round of play offs. This meant the 3rd (Jokers) and 4th (Shamrocks) place teams would meet in the play off finals. The Jokers won in 3 close games Green II; The Dirty Dozen team came in first for the season, and lost in the first round of the play offs to Morgan Genrty's. Again we had a 3rd place team (Fat Daddy's) and 4th place team (Morgan Genrty's) in the finals. Morgan Genrty's won in 3 games. Brown; The Warriors, a past champion won the division and won the play offs over the Raw-Dawgs. Mitchel Division; The Staff Infection team came in first for the season, but lost to Milwaukee's Best in the first round of the play offs. Milwaukee's Best met the second place team, SPX in the play offs and Milwaukee's Best won in 2 games.

July 28, 2009 The Frustrations of the Weather
#1; One team manager told me he was going to another league because we had to much rain in this league. #2; A couple of teams have called me in the morning of a beautiful day and said, I should cancel now because we were going to have thunder storms again. #3; A team manager called me the day before his game, and said it is going to rain, are we going to play tomorrow?

MERRICK ROAD PARK; Meadowbrook Pkway south to Merrick Road. Go east on Merrick road, 3 blocks to park on right side. SEAMANS NECK; Seafoed Oyster Bay Exp. (135) south to Merrick Rd. Go east on Merrick Rd. to South Seaman Neck Road. Turn right and take down to end. SHELL CREEK; Island Park, From Sunrise Hwy. in Rockville Center, take Long Beach Road south thur Oceanside to Island Park. At Island Park fork in road bear left onto Austin Blvd. Make left at Vanderbilt, Park is at end of street on left.

May 26, 2009 Pilot Field / Levittowm
Pilot Field: From Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown turn north onto Jerusalum Ave. Go up 4 traffic lights and make right into park.

May 12, 2009 Sand Hill Park
In Wantagh, From Sunrise Highway, Go north on Wantagh Ave. Proceed in left lane over Southern State Parkway. Make an immediate left turn on Sandhill Road. Continue to field on left.

May 05, 2009 Rain Outs
Hey guys I do not get an answer as to weather or not fields are open or closed until 3PM. Until then, they are open. After 3PM the softball number will be updated.

May 03, 2009 Sunday May 3rd
Thanks for you patience. The County has stepped up this year and is trying to get the fields open. Then more rain came. You can call the softball line at 826-1661 for up dates on fields. On Sunday mornings the Park personnel are not in early.

April 21, 2009 Early Bird Warm Up
10 teams played in the Warm Up Tournament this past Sunday. The teams played games in 2 pools. After pool play was done, the 1st and 2nd place teams in each pool played for a trophy. The 2 winning teams were the Boozers and the Punishers. Photos will be added to the gallery soon.

March 20, 2009 SOLD OUT
We are full. Word to the wise! I have turned away over 20 teams. At leased 6 have played in this league last year. If you would like to play next season, put your name on the mailing list. This mailing goes out in August for the Fall season and January for the Summer season. The Registration form and deposit holds you a spot after the mailing goes out.

March 18, 2009 Early Bird Warm Up
Sunday April 19th at Cantiague Park. We will take the first 12 teams. This is a pool play warm up tournament. Teams will be put in pools of 3 levels. Teams will play each other in the first 3, 55 minute games. These will be timed with a central horn and stop immediately when the horn sounds. Then the top 2 teams in each level will play a Championship games for a Trophy. Each team is guaranteed 4 hours of playing time. The total cost with umpires is $250. Call me for a registration form. 826-1661
